CEDAR FALLS - Final rites for Eugene McCallum, 68, who died at his home at 1928 College, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be at the Nelson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by Rev. Donald R. Lengel, Waterloo. Burial will be in the Midwest Garden of Memories north of Cedar Falls.

McCallum had been a traveling salesman most of his active life, but for the last seven years he had been a salesman in a Waterloo clothing store. He was forced to retire several weeks ago on account of failing health.

He was born in Devel County, South Dakota, Jan. 20, 1884, the son of Newton and Julia McCallum. He married Florence Kelsey at Gary, S.D. July 11, 1903.

Survivors in addition to the widow include two sons, five daughters, 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The sons and daughters are: Clarence and Lester, both of Waterloo; the daughters include Mrs. Blanche Mahoney of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Zelda Ferris, Davenport, and Mrs. Mildred Proctor, Waterloo; Mrs. Ethel Robson, Robin Road, Waterloo, and Mrs. Dorothy Morrison, 2204 Morrison Lane, North Cedar.

McCallum was affiliated with the Baptist church. The body is at the Nelson Funeral Home.
