CEDAR FALLS - Maureen C. “Renee” Sullivan, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born in Dubuque, daughter of Lawrence and Aurella Oster Oberfoell. She married Thomas M. Sullivan on Sept. 11, 1954, at Third Presbyterian Church, Dubuque.

She was a graduate of Dubuque Senior High School, and was a secretary at Farley & Loetcher, Dubuque. She later worked as a secretary in the civil service in Alaska and was a secretary in the music department at Iowa State University. She was a member of Eastern Star, Black Hawk County YMCA and Cedar Heights Women’s Club and Floral Design, Flower Arranging.

Survived by her husband; a son, Thomas Jr. of Cedar Falls; and two daughters, Rene K. Sullivan and Tamara L. Sullivan, both of Hutchinson, Kan.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Black Hawk County YMCA or First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls.

She enjoyed her family, crafts, painting, crocheting, creating and designing cards, and was an award-winning floral designer at the Cattle Congress floral competitions.
