Lew H. Kimball, 72, of 1146 Easton Ave. died at 6:20 a. m. Thursday morning at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a heart condition after 18 months' illness.

Mr. Kimball was the owner of Kimball's Lunch, 709 Sycamore Ave. He was born on Jan. 25, 1895. in Quasqueton to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kimball. He married Carrie M. Nanke on Jan. 16, 1937, in Galena, Ill. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church, Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion. He was a World War I veteran.

He is survived by his widow; two stepsons, Donald O. Nanke of Prescott, Ariz, and Bernard E. Nanke of 1020 oregon St.; one brother, Clyde Kimball of Wuasqueton, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Services are pending at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral services for Lew H. Kimball, 72, of 1146 Easton Ave., who died Thursday morning, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Parrott & Wood Chapel. Dr. C. H. Pettersen, pastor of Grace Methodist Church , will officiate with Mrs. Robert Sherburne serving as organist. Military rites will be conducted at the grave in Waterloo Cemetery by Becker-Chapman Post of the American Legion.
