WATERLOO — Helen E. McCulley, 82, of Waterloo, died Monday June 28, 2004, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Delhi, daughter of Edmund H. and Augusta B. Bondurant Fleming.

She married Herbert N. McCulley Sept. 14,1945, in Iowa City He died on Sept. 26,1977. She then married Richard A. Meyerhoff June 28, 1985, in Oskaloosa.

Mrs. McCulley was employed as a teacher for several school systems in Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Meyerhoff of Waterloo; two sons, Michael J. (Debbie) McCulley of Harlingen, Texas, and Kevin K. (Andrea) McCulley of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Nancy Meyerhoff of Maple Grove, Minn., and Katie (Al) Schares of Cedar Falls; one brother, Francis (Lois) Fleming of Waterloo; and four grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns-Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball and also for an hour before the service at the church.

Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army.
