CEDAR FALLS - Pauline C. "Polly" Christensen, 102, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.

She was born April 24, 1904, in Denmark, daughter of Hans and Nicoline Wind Westergaard. She married Hans Christensen on Dec. 16, 1950, in Nashua. He died March 10, 1970.

She had been employed at Hinson Manufacturing.

Survived b: two daughters, Pauline LaVonne "Bonnie" (Melvin) Downing of Oregon and Evelyn Minter of Winslow, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Lela Ludolph of Cedar Falls; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Robert Wilson; a daughter, Eileen Luckow; four brothers, George, Nels, James and Peter Westergaard; a sister, Margaret McQuarry; two stepsons, James and Kip Christensen; and seven stepdaughters, Virginia Hoosier, Beverly Gallagher, Gladys Foughty, Katie Oldenberg, Betty Jensen, Lois Holdiman and Dorothy.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in the Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
