WATERLOO - Marion M. King, 87, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Sumner, daughter of Harry F. and Emma Blume Reinhart. She married Robert King on Dec. 22, 1946, at First Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Mrs. King graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1943 and attended Iowa State Teachers College. She worked for Black's Department Store in the notions department and was the financial secretary at First Baptist Church for several years. She and her husband farmed for more than 40 years and she also helped in the dairy. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was past president of American Baptist Women.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Stephen (Jody) of Beverly, Mass., and Daniel (Rebecca) of Waterloo; two daughters, Margaret Downs of Chandler, Ariz., and Sarah (Larry) Riechmann of Sumner; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Downs; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Dave Seger.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Waterloo, with burial in Union Mound Cemetery, Sumner. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home.
