CEDAR FALLS - Carl M. Danner, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

He was born April 16, 1918, in Burt, son of John and Stella Danner. He married Helen Rindels on April 13, 1939, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Danner worked as a machinist for 39 years at Construction Machinery Corp., Waterloo, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Betty (Wayne) Edgerly of Blaine, Minn., and Karla (Larry) Parsley of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Rush of St. Ansgar; and a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Danner.

Preceded in death by a son, Jerry; a grandson, Timothy Andersen; three brothers; and eight sisters.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
