Services for Emil Tiedt, 80, of 1520 W. Seventh St., will be 11 a.m. Friday at Zion American Lutheran Church. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Cemetery in Readlyn. He died Tuesday night at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 29, 1900, in Readlyn, the son of Louis and Anna Boeckmann Tiedt. He married Bertha Wittenberg April 14, 1921, at Readlyn. He farmed in the Readlyn area most of his life and later did custodian work until his retirement.

Surviving are his wife, at home; and a son, Eric of 1145 Windsor Drive.

Friends may call at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be given to the church.
