Mrs. Sadie Lehan Anderle, 77, of Allen Memorial Home, died there of a congestive heart condition at 2:15 p. m. Tuesday.
She was born Sadie Wagner Aug. 28, 1889, at Morristown, Ill., daughter of Henry and Cathryn Ryan Wagner, and was married Sept. 15, 1909, at Minneapolis to Thomas Lehan, who died in 1945. She was married in 1955 to Joseph Anderle at Iowa City. He died two years later.
Mrs, Anderle was a charter member of St. John's Catholic Church, also its Rosary Society, St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters of America and Waterloo Woman's Club.
Surviving are three daughters. Mrs. Bernice Shade of 702 Fowler St., Mrs. Margaret Slaughter of 205 Joy Dr., and Mrs. Cathryn Carl, Redwood City, Calif., eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There are also four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Kerns of 300 Carrington Rd., Mrs. Cora Stockwell of Hayward, Calif., Mrs. Olive McNabney of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Flossie Rodruck of Seattle, Wash. Other survivors are two brothers, Miles Wagner, Pasadena, Calif., and Paul Wagner, Miami, Fla.
She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.
