Waterloo - Linda Ceredwyn Blackledge, 66, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, Sept 8, 2013, of cancer.

She was born Nov. 4, 1946, in Springfield, Mo., daughter of Harvey E. Miles and Betty Jean Miles. On June 15, 1970, she married James R. Blackledge in Evansdale.

Mrs. Blackledge graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1965, and then earned a dental assistant certificate at Hawkeye Community College. She worked for Dr. Hanson in Waterloo and Dr. Driver, and was a coach at Black Hawk Gymnastics Club and also Cedar Valley Gymnastics Club. She was a secretary with Iowa Post Frame Builders L.C. She was a member of the USTA and the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo, where she was active in team and recreational tennis, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Survived by her husband; three daughters, Amber (Andy) Gruye of Waterloo, and Cari Lyttle (Paul) and Misti (Ivan) Flores, both of San Diego; a son, Brice of Buckingham; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Cassandra Hiles of Goshen, Ohio, and Tania Richards of Flowery Branch, Ga.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother.

Celebration of Life services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Baptist Church, 3820 Hammond Ave. There will be no viewing as she was cremated.

Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice Allen Hospital and Grace Baptist Church.
