WATERLOO - Arthur R. Kammeyer, 79, of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Denver, son of John and Adella Dahms Kammeyer. He married Daphine Staack on Feb. 19, 1950. She died Nov. 7, 1998.

Mr. Kammeyer served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was employed for Waterloo Wood Bearing for 43 years, retiring in 1990 as plant superintendent. He was a lifetime member of the Waterloo American Legion Post 138 and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Evansdale.

Survivors include a son, Gregory Bunger of Elk Run Heights; a sister, Mabel DeVries of Denver; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Ray and Richard.

Services: 10 a.m. (note correct time of service) Wednesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Military rites by Waterloo American Legion Post 138. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service.

Memorials may be directed to the church or American Cancer Society.
