WATERLOO - Rena R. Stejskal, 91, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born July 11, 1916, in Des Moines, daughter of John and Anna Hinrichs Richards. She married Ludwig Stejskal on July 20, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Mrs. Stejskal graduated from Des Moines East High School. She worked for Blue Ribbon Market, and Black's Department Store in the drapery room and print shop, from where she retired.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ludwig C. "Chuck" (Linda) of Waterloo; a daughter, Ann M. Smith of Randalia; two grandchildren, Christina M. (Christopher) Grier of Kalona and Kelli N. Smith of Dubuque; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen J. Hadley of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a son-in-law, James A. "Jim" Smith; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Reva Richards; and a brother, Roland Richards.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.
