[Waterloo Courier, Wednesday, September 23, 1891, Waterloo, Iowa]

Mrs. O'Keefe, whose sudden death near Raymond was noted in our columns yesterday, was the mother of Mr. D. J. Donovan, of this city, and Matt O'Keefe, who has clerked for J. K. Joder for some time past.
The many friends of the two gentlemen deeply sympathize with them and the bereaved husband and other son, Charles, in their affliction. Matt, who is attending the State University, was telegraphed and was in Waterloo last night on his way home. Mrs. O'Keefe was at home alone, her husband having gone to a neighbors on some errand.

It seems that she was on her way to the well for a pail of water when she was stricken with heart disease and dropped to the ground dead. A neighbor driving by was the first to discover her.

Mrs. O'Keefe was 63 years of age and a very estimable woman. Funeral services will be held at the Gilbertsville church at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
