ELK RUN HEIGHTS — Lisa L. Berinobis, 46, of Elk Run Heights, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Cedar Rapids from complications of cancer.

She was born July 18, 1967, in Waterloo, daughter of Clifford and Sally Kearney Berinobis. She married Rob Meyer in October 1992, and they later divorced.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School and also attended Upper Iowa for three years. She worked for GMAC as a mortgage specialist.

Survived by: her parents of Elk Run Heights; four brothers, Cliff (Chris) and John (Jenny Bass), both of Evansdale, Ed (Sheri) of Strawberry Point and Joseph (Laurie) of Waterloo; three sisters, Rona (Tony Freitag) Berinobis of Ankeny, Kim (Tim Franklin) Larsen of Mitchellville and Dawn Berinobis of Elk Run Heights; 31 nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Nikki Weber of Waterloo.

Family-directed Celebration of Life tribute: 11 a.m. Friday at the UAW Hall, 2615 Washington St., Waterloo, with a luncheon to follow. A private family inurnment will be held in Poyner Township Cemetery. Kearns Funeral Service-Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, assisted the family with arrangements.
