Services for Leon E. Hubbard, 65, of 831 Loretta Ave., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. There will be a 7 p.m. rosary and an 8 p.m. Scripture service, both Friday at Carter O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home, 25O National Drive.

Mr. Hubbard died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 13, 1916, in La Porte City, son of Howard and Alice Wright Hubbard. He married Marjorie A. Brustkern Aug. 14, 1968, in Kansas City, Mo. He was employed at John Deere Tractor Works for 39 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the Navy during World

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynette K. Hubbard, at home; two stepsons. Robert Keckler of 280 DeSoto Ave. and Richard Keckler of Minneapolis; a stepdaughter, Sandy Andersen of 1157 Lorraine Ave.; three stepgrandchildren; two sisters. Mrs. Francis Buck of Mabank, Texas, and Mrs. Joyce Lubben of La Porte City; and two brothers, Ronald Hubbard of 2000 W. Seventh St., and Keith Hubbard of Prairie Village. Kan.

Memorials may be made to Columbus High School.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.
