JOCHUMSEN DIES AT CEDAR FALLS

Veteran Employe of Bancroft Company Succumbs to Long Illness; Rites Thursday

Cedar Falls—Frederick Jochumsen, 76, for the last 38 years a resident of Cedar Falls, died at 9 p. m. Monday at his home, 1303 Walnut Street, following an illness of seven months from heart disease.

Frederick Jochumsen was born April 10, 1857, in Nykobing, Falster, Denmark. He married Anna Christiansen in Copenhagen on Nov. 15, 1884, and the family came to America in 1889. They lived at Independence for five years, then came to Cedar Falls.

Mr. Jochumsen had worked at the Bancroft Green House, this city for 20 years. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran church.

Besides the widow he is survived by four sons and, two daughters: Axel, Tony, and Mrs. A. C. Madsen, Cedar Falls; Arnold, Austin, Minn.; Edward, Waterloo, and Mrs. Reginald Perriam, Oak Park, Ill. There are also 12 grandchildren. One grandson, Robert Juhl of Cedar Falls makes his home with his grandparents.

Six children preceded the father in death.

Funeral services will be Thursday with services at 1 p. m. at the home and at 1:30 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with Rev. M. G. Christiansen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

His wife's maiden name corrected to Christiansen instead of Christensen as it is believe according to other documents Christiansen is correct.
