Olin J. Lichty, 84, of Washington St., died Thursday at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications of age. Services will be at 1.30 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home with burial in Orange Township Cemetery.

He was born in Waterloo Jan. 14, 1894, the son of Daniel G. and Minnie Lichty. He married Helen L. Lubbs Jan 23, 1949* in Waterloo.

He worked at Waterloo Industries until his retirement in 1964.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Olin Jr. of 2103 Lincoln St., Cedar Falls, and Richard L. of 816 Minnesota St.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Miss Ethel Lichty of Friendship Village.

Those who wish may give memorials to the First Brethren Church. Waterloo Lodge 105 will open lodge at 7 p.m. Friday and will conduct public services at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.

In the parsonage of First Brethren Church Friday evening at 8 o'clock, Rev. Virgil Meyer united in marriage Miss Helen Lubbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Lubbs, 709 Randolph Street, and Olin J. Lichty, son of the Dan G. Lichtys, 1214 West Fourth Street. --[Waterloo Courier, January 25, 1948]
