CEDAR FALLS—Services for Joseph Sidney Oberman, 69, of 2908 Cadillac Drive, are pending at Locke
Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1914, at Skidmore, Texas, son of John A. and Cecelia Beyer Oberman. He married Opal Lineberger Nov. 6, 1943, at San Antonio, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was vice president and general manager at Rath Packing Co. until his retirement in 1976.

He is survived by his wife; a son, J. Douglas Oberman of 2908 Cadillac Drive; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Norma Rose of North Hampton, N.H.; two brothers Roy and Doug Oberman, both of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. Shirley Hitzfeld of Tyler, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to River Hills School.
