Funeral services for Frank G. Schwartz, Sr., 78, of 167 Riehl. St., who died Sunday at Omaha, Neb., will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home. The Rev. James Fouke, new pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Midwest Garden of Memories.

Mr. Schwartz was born Nov. 12, 1884, at Preston, Minn.,a son of Gustave and Elizabeth Fernal Schwartz. He married Winnifred Losey there Nov. 18, 1910.

For many years he operated a dray line at Preston, retiring in 1954. He came to Waterloo in 1957.

Surviving are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw of 438 Riehl, Mrs. Claude Parker of Rochester, Minn., Mrs. Emil Scolari of Lompoc, Calif., and Mrs. Henry Morgan of Somers, Ia.

Other surviving are seven sons, Robert Schwartz of 402 Conger St, Arthur of 2901 Ansborough Ave., Frank, Jr., of 1609 Parker St., Cedar Falls, Ernie of Fort Dodge, Eugene of Kansas City, Kan., Richard of Omaha, Neb., and Vernon, Navy, stationed at Chicago. Additional survivors include 30 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Ford of Preston; and three brothers, Wallace, Ernie, and Warren Schwartz, all of Preston.

He was preceded in death by parents, one sister and three brothers.
