WATERLOO - David "Mike" Turner, 52, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at home of cancer.

He was born April 4, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Warren Ralph and Joyce Margaret Murray Turner. He married Mary Kristine Allen April 5, 1973, in Waterloo. They later divorced.

Mr. Turner was employed with Hawkeye Community College as a tool and die professor for 20 years. He served in the Army 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War.

Survived by: his wife, Mary; three sons, Daniel of Las Vegas, and David and Devon at home; three daughters, Amy Kleinhans of Cedar Falls, Sarah Kacher of Waterloo and Rena (Nathan) Stoffregen of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Cody and Cory Kleinhans and Russell and Jeremy Kacher; two future grandchildren to be born soon; a brother, Allen of Hudson; and two sisters, Dianna Darold of Hudson and Suzanne Flora of Idaho.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Daniel.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Full military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Hudson AMVETS Post 82. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
