WATERLOO - Mildred Theresa Simon, 69, of Waterloo, died at home Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, of natural causes.

She was born April 18, 1936, in Adams, Minn., daughter of Joseph and Theresa Koenigs Schneider. She married Marvin Simon on Aug. 5, 1961, in Johnsburg, Minn.

Mrs. Simon was employed at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., and was later employed at Covenant Medical Center as a unit clerk/secretary in the mother-baby unit. She volunteered for numerous organizations in the area, including the Serra Club and prayer line. She enjoyed watching Cubs baseball games and most of all spending time with her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Perry (Laura) and Corey (Linda), both of Waterloo, and Gale (Koya) of Urbana; five grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Skylar, Amanda and Lindsey Simon; three brothers, Joseph (Audrey), Leo (Martha) and Willie (Margaret) Schneider, all of Adams, Minn.; and three sisters, Anna Jax and Betty (Gilbert) Fasbender, both of Adams, and Angelia Winkels of Rochester.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Paul Schneider.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
