WATERLOO - Rose Mary Markley, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born April 10, 1918, in Clutier, daughter of Louis and Mary Hess Linhart. She married Floyd Markley on Oct. 9, 1952, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 27, 1995.

Mrs. Markley was employed as a custodian at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for 15 years, retiring in 1994.

Survivors include a daughter, Colette (Tim) Mulder of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Jessica Dewater of Waterloo; two grandsons, Scott and Tim J. Mulder, both of Waterloo; three great-grandsons, Austin Mahlstedt, Noah Beenkin and Landon Mulder, all of Waterloo; and a great-granddaughter, Alexia Dewater of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by three daughters, Barbara Anne and Catherine Markley, both in infancy, and Carmelita Butterfield; three sisters, Mildred Ribby, Tillie Sweerin and Albia Rucker; and three brothers, Louis Jr., Charles and Joseph Linhart.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family.
