WATERLOO — Joan Ahlhelm, 54, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, March 23, 1999, of cancer

She was born March 3, 1945, in Dennison, daughter of Lesley and Marguarite Keating Beerman.

Survived by a daughter, Dawn Marie Ahlhelm of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren; her mother, Marguarite Malam of Waterloo; and three sisters, Noreen Iliff of Sequim, Wash., Mary Kay Olsen of Waterloo and Colleen Steffen of Clinton.

Preceded in death by her father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
