GILBERTVILLE—Services for John Lutgen, 76, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. Rosary will be at 7:30 and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Oppold Funeral Home in Waterloo and at 3 p.m., 7:30 p.m. by the parish, and 8 p.m. Wednesday. He died at 1:40 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born on April 11, 1898, in Luxembourg, the son of Katherine and Nick Draut Lutgen. He married Susan Welter Feb. 4,1920, in Gilbertville.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Francis (Butch) and Joseph, both of Gilbertville, and Paul, of 1750 Byron Ave., Waterloo; six daughters, Mrs. Norman Ratalee, of Sonoma, Calif., Mrs. Wilfred Frost, Gettysburg, S.D., Mrs. Philip Delagardelle, Rt. 1, Jesup, and Mrs. Louis Schmit, Mrs. James Phillips, and Mrs. Irvin Weber, all of GUbertville; two brothers, Mike and Nick, both of Iowa City.

Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Educational Endowment Fund.
