WATERLOO — Vallory Lee Warren Meier, 68, of Waterloo, formerly of Waverly, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Dec. 2, 1944, daughter of Ivan and Ruby Caruth Warren. On April 27, 1968, she married Duane D. Meier at St. Mary Catholic Church, Waverly. He died Oct. 8, 2009.

Mrs. Meier graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1964. She worked for Black Hawk County as a home health aide for many years.

Survived by a daughter, Michelle (Chris) Figi of New Hartford; a son, Jamie (Missy) of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren, Dakota Figi, Andrew and Nicholas Heidemann, Cody and Morgan Figi, and Jordon and Jada Meier; and a sister, Connie (Dick) Van Dyke of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ivan Warren Jr.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls. Visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today and an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Vallory cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking cookies with them and simply being around them. They brought her never ending joy and happiness throughout the years. She also enjoyed sewing in her free time.
