Mrs. Shirley R. Laufer, 58, of Des Moines, a former resident of Waterloo, died at Northwest Hospital, Des Moines Friday afternoon of Addison's disease. She had been ill for one week.

She and her husband, Kenneth J., moved from Waterloo to Des Moines last June. She had been employed as a receptionist at the Polk County Juvenile home in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Gugel Funeral Home in Saginaw, Mich. Interment will be in the Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw.

Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Patricia at home; a son, Bruce at home; her mother, Mrs. Ruth Czerniak of Toledo, Ohio; one brother and one sister.

The body was taken to Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines.
