CEDAR FALLS - Sofia "Sof" Demetrakos Frink, 84, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, March 23, 2007, in Fort Collins of a lengthy illness.

She was born May 5, 1922, in Mortmar Village, Calif., daughter of Constantine and Petra Corona Demetrakos. She married Maurice Frederick Frink Aug. 7, 1940, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The marriage later dissolved.

She was employed by Rath Packing Co. for a short while when she first arrived in Iowa. She then became a mother and homemaker. She also enjoyed a short period of employment at Rainbow Florists and Greenhouses before retirement.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy (Ira) Kimm of Cedar Falls and Tammy (David) Thornton of Fort Collins; seven grandchildren; one grandchild-in-law, one great-grandchild; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Bill, deceased) Smith, and Christina Metz; a brother, George (Jane) Demetrakos; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Demetrakos, all of Klamath Falls, Ore.

Preceded in death by a son, Gregory Warren Frink of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Nickolas Demetrakos of Klamath Falls and James Demetrakos of Costa Mesa, Calif.; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Eugene Oldham, also of Klamath Falls; and four nephews.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Public visitation also for one hour before services Saturday.

Memorials: may be directed to Larimer County Hospice, Fort Collins, or Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church, Cedar Falls.
