Milo N. "Mike" Grandon, 81, of Janesville, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center, Shell Rock.

He was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Cedar Falls, son of Arthur and Jesse Marks Grandon. He married Marjorie A. Reinke on April 23, 1955, in Miami, Okla.

Mr. Grandon attended Finchford and Cedar Falls schools and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1942. He was employed at John Deere & Co., Waterloo, for 33 years; farmed in Black Hawk County; and had been owner/broker, along with his wife, of Midtown Realty in Janesville for the last 28 years. He was a member of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of Realtors for 26 years and also a member of the Waterloo Elks Club for 42 years.

Survivors include: his wife; a son, Monte of Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Robbin (Wes) Sorge of Janesville and Linda (Will) Hyde of Homestead, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Jackie (Robert) Zrostlik of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Talere and Kendyl Sorge, and Robert and Nicole Woock; three stepgrandchildren, Scott and Chad Schaefer, and Amy Schlung; two brothers, Jess of Cedar Falls and Lloyd (Pat) of Dike; and three sisters, Betty (Max) Ward of Cedar Falls, Alberta Jepsen of Omaha, Neb., and Wanda Boysen of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Linford and Walter.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial fund: will be established.
