WATERLOO — Leah M. Hileman, 98, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.
She was born June 2, 1906, in Waterloo, daughter of William and Lillian Dilger Eickelberg. She married Frederick G. Hileman on June 24, 1931, in Waterloo. He died Jan. 14, 2003.
Mrs. Hileman graduated from Waterloo East High School and Ross Conservatory and later attended Iowa State Teacher's College, Cedar Falls. She taught kindergarten at Lincoln Elementary School and taught elocution in the Waterloo area.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shirley Hileman of Waterloo and Gerry (David) Briden of Oregon, Ohio; a son, Fred D. (Debbie) of Wilbraham, Mass.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith Eickelber of Atascadero, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Sina Eickelberg of St. Paul, Minn.
Preceded in death by a sister, Irma Eickelberg; and two brothers, Kenneth and Glenn Eickelberg.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, preceded by family burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke
