CEDAR FALLS - Mrs. Mabel Dayton Karr 59, died at her home in Denver, Colo. at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, following three weeks' illness from cerebral hemorrhages and complications,
Mabel Dayton was born in Cedar Falls in December of 1872, youngest daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Dayton, early settlers. She was graduated from the high school and from Iowa State Teachers college, and in 1913 stie was married to Rev. Mr. Karr. They have made their home at Denver, Colo., several years.
Mrs. Karr always took an active part in church activities, especially in connection with the young folks' organizations of the Presbyterian church which her husband was serving.
Dr. and Mrs Karr spent a few weeks last July in this city.
Besides the husband, there survive a brother and three sisters: G. R. Dayton, 114 West Sixth Street; Mrs. Laura Robinson and Mrs. George Mornin, 601 Main Street, and Mrs. P. H, Boysen of Long Beach, Cal.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:30 p. m. at the Presbyterian church here with Rev. Bruce J. Giffen officiating. Interment will be in the Dayton mausoleum at Fairview Cemetery.
