WATERLOO - Cherie M. Collentine, 69, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 30, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1937, in Mason City, daughter of Finis and Grace DeGraw Gregory. She married Robert L. Collentine.
Mrs. Collentine attended schools in Mason City. She was employed at the Holiday Inn in Cedar Falls and at the Ramada Inn in Waterloo from the middle of the 1960s to the early 1970s.
Survivors include: her husband; two sons, William J. (Mary Anne) Muldoon of Doniphan, Neb., and Daniel (Debra) Muldoon of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Coleen (Michael) Dunn of Omaha, Neb.; two stepsons, Stephen (Paula) Collentine of Waterloo and Joseph (Karina) Collentine of Cornville, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth (Jeffery) Elliott of Winterset; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and seven stepgrandchildren; a brother, David Harris of Mason City; and a sister, Patricia (Rev. Paul) Hasel of Ventura.
Preceded in death by: a sister, Genine Anderson.
Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. June 9 at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with private family inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The family will receive friends at a luncheon following the service.
