Charles W. Sneller was born October 1, 1922 in Sumner, Iowa, the son of William and Claretta Gersonde Sneller. He married Helen Wikner on May 20, 1945 in Tripoli, Iowa. They later divorced.

Charles served his country in the United States Army during World War II. After discharge, he worked at Rath Packing Co. until his retirement in December 1983. In addition, he also worked for various local farmers, and provided outdoor maintenance for Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

Survived his son, Don of Bangor, Wisconsin; his daughter, Linda of Sumner, Iowa; two grandchildren, Christine Sneller and Matt Sneller of Denver, Colorado; nieces and nephews; and his friend, Geraldine Seehase of Waverly.

Charles died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Western Home Communities Martin Center in Cedar Falls, following a short illness.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Verla Ravn and Geraldine Enloe.
