Louie Henry Dreier, 74, 1001 Roosevelt St., Maywood addition, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs
Raymond Daniels, at Independence, a 5:25 p. m. Monday. Death was caused by a heart attack.
Mr. Dreier was born April 27, 1883, in Bremer County, the son of Chris and Louisa Bahlie Dreier. He married
Emma Priebe at New Hampton Jan. 7, 1913. They farmed in the Bremer County area and moved to Waterloo
in 1944
Mr. Dreier was employed by the Rath Packing Co. until his retirement in 1948. He was a member of the
Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Virgil, 1001 Roosevelt St., Harry 933 Reber Ave., and Lowell, 402
Dunham Pl.; four daughters: Mrs. Charles Haug, 1627 Williston Ave., Mrs. Victor Ackerman, 818 Home
Park Blvd., Mrs. Daniels, Independence, and Mrs. Maynard Rowe, Plainview, Minn.; one brother, John, ofWest Union; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one daughter, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m., at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Harwood and Wallgate Sts.
The Rev, H. A. Wilke, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Wilson Grove Cemetery, Sumner The body will
be taken to the church from O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
