AGED CITIZEN DEAD

GEORGE MARSHALL, AGED 80
YEARS SUCCUMBED TO
DROPSY EARLY MONDAY

FATHER OF 18 CHILDREN

Funeral in Eagle Township Wednesday

George Marshall, an aged resident of Eagle Township, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Keegan, at 3:30 o'clock Monday morning, following an illness of five weeks from dropsy.

Mr. Marshall was about 80 years old and was the father of eighteen- children, three of whom are dead. Mr. Marshall was a resident of Black Hawk County the most of the time in Eagle township.

The surviving children are George, Emmetsburg; Henry, Worthington, Minn.; Samuel, LaPorte; Mrs. Henstroth, New York; Mrs. Ed. McCann, New York; Mrs. Will Reardon, West Bend; Mrs. Irvine Wager, West Virginia, Mrs. John Keegan, Eagle Center; Mrs. Dan McTaggart, Valley Junction, Col,; James, Eagle Center; John, Waterloo; Frank, Kodaho, S. D. [Kadoka?]; Ed and Lawrence, Storm Lake; Nellie Marshall, Spirit Lake.

Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's Catholic church at Eagle Center Wednesday morning at 10:00 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Father Taken, interment in the Catholic cemetery.
