Junior Harry White was born March 3, 1923, in Nashua, Iowa, the son of Harry H. and Alma (Mulstedt) White. He served his Country in the United States Navy on the USS Chicago during World War II. On January 26, 1946, he was united in marriage to Myrna Lehman in Charles City, IA.

He was employed with the John Deere Downtown Waterloo Tractor Works in the Hydraulics Dept. for 35 years, retiring in 1982. He then gave tours of John Deere through Visitor Services. He was past Commander of the Cedar Falls American Legion, active member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49, serving on the Honor Guard and maintaining the Avenue of Flags.

Survived by his wife, Myrna of Cedar Falls; daughter, Sherry (Douglas) Brodie of Des Moines; two sons, Kim White of Gurensville, CA and Kurt (Nikki) of Des Moines; granddaughter, Stacy (Paul) Reese of Knoxville; great granddaughter, Sydney Reese of Knoxville; and two brothers, Anson (Marge) White of Waterloo and Virgil (Bobbi) White of Kimberling City, MO.

J.R. died Monday, January 30, 2006, at his home in Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Doris Barewald, Eva White, Elnora Schmidt, Vera Ingersol, and Shirley Calkins; and three brothers, Kenneth, James, and Ellis White.
