Marie LaRue, 96, of 911 Western Ave., died Thursday, Oct. 31, 1991, at the Americana Health Center of natural causes.

She was born June 8, 1895, in Waterloo, the daughter of Lincoln and Caroline Close White. She married Murle C. LaRue on Oct. 6, 1913, in Waterloo. He died Aug. 22, 1968. She was past president of the Waterloo Garden Club, and past president of the "B" Natural Music Club in Waterloo.

She is survived by a sister, Fern Hartwell of Waterloo; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Murle LaRue in 1952; and a brother and a sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed tothe First Baptist Church, Waterloo, or Black Hawk Humane Society.
