Peggy Ann Buck, 63, of Denver, Iowa, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at her home, surrounded by family, following a six-month battle with cancer, that was fought with the same grace, courage and dignity she had shown throughout her life.

She was born July 26, 1949, in Waterloo, the daughter of Glenn and Harriet Domer Jones. She married Gary Fred Buck Aug. 11, 1979, in Waterloo.

Mrs. Buck graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1967. She worked in various local banks for 44 years, most recently at Liberty Bank.

She is survived by her husband of Denver; her father of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Emily (Lucas) Sheerer of Waterloo; three stepsons, Douglas (Moria) Buck of Reno, Nev., Matthew (Kimberly) Buck of Waterloo and Jason Buck of Fort Collins, Colo.; one brother, Glenn (Karen Plum) Jones II of Waterloo; two sisters, Dianne (Larry Spears) Goodrich of Evansdale and Janet (Kevin Buehler) Collins of Waterloo; and four grandchildren, Liam Sheerer, and Lucas, Allison and Tyler Buck.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother; and a brother-in-law, Craig Collins.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
