WATERLOO — Elizabeth Kathryn “Betty” Cinkan, 74, of Waterloo, died Tuesday July 23, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, of natural causes.

She was born July 11, 1939, in Brownsville, Pa., daughter of Edgar Hasson and Grace Ann Lucosh Choplick. She married Donald Bear Cinkan in Brownsville, Pa. He preceded her in death.

Survived by five sons, Edgar Cinkan of Cedar Rapids, Dean Broadwater and Victor Cinkan both of Waterloo, Michael Cinkan of Rapid City, S.D., and Dana Broadwater of Neb.; a daughter, Rebecca Whiteside of Waterloo; 22 grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Lloyd Hasson of Cedar Rapids and Andrew (Iris) Choplick of Waverly.

Preceded in death by a son, Lloyd C. Cinkan; two daughters, Deion Broadwater and Melanie Coleman; and one sister, Sue Ellen Doyle.

Services: Private family visitation will be held at Garden View Chapel.

Memorials may be directed to Elizabeth’s family or donor’s choice.
