CEDAR FALLS—Funeral services for Rex J. Johnson, 68, of Pilot Mound, former resident of Cedar Falls, will be at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. The Rev. Homer Larsen, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Johnson died at 11 p. m. Sunday at the Boone County Hospital in Boone, following a heart attack.

He was born Aug. 30, 1905, at McNabb, Ill., the son of John and Matilda Jansen Johnson. He married Martha Peterson, Nov. 16, 1929, at Webster City. He was a salesman for the Newton Manufacturing Co. for many years.

Surviving are his wife, one son, James Johnson of Lawndale, Calif.; four daughters: Mrs. Vernon Sands of Janesville, Mrs. Clifford Bast of Nashua, Mrs. John Pitz of 400 Idaho St., Waterloo, Mrs. Charles Mackens, of Clarksville, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister. Mrs. Gertie Fogdall, 7511 University Ave., Cedar Falls.

He was a member of the Methodist Church at Pilot Mound.

The family requests that memorials be given to the Heart Foundation.
