CEDAR FALLS - Ruth Timmer, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at her home of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in De's Moines, daughter of Chris and Jennie Grarup Vognsen. She married Sander Timmer on Sept. 6, 1941, at Washington Chapel United Methodist Church, rural Cedar Falls. He died Aug. 4, 1992.

Mrs. Timmer was a nurse's aide at Sartori Memorial Hospital for more than 15 years.

Survived by a son, Roger of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Vicki Bravender of Boca Raton, Ma.; four grandchildren and a great-grandson; three brothers, Chris Vognsen Jr. of Cedar Falls, Lester Vognsen of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and George Vognsen of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Helen Hahn of Cedar Falls and Myrna Hahn of Columbus, Ga;

Preceded in death by a son, Harry

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dahl-Van Hove Schoof Funeral Home arid Cremation Service, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery

Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and for an hour before services Monday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund will be established.
