WATERLOO - Karl H. Kough, 94, of 3720 Village Place, formerly of 733 Johnson St., died Friday, Jan. 31, 1997 at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes

He was born March 11, 1902, in Laurens, son of Ira James and Sarah Edna Brandt Kough. He married Grace Irene Hammer Dec. 22, 1928, in Waterloo.

Mr. Kough was a machinist for Deere & Co. for 39 years retiring in 1964.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Donald of Winona Minn., Ralph of Kingston, Ill., and Max of Waverly; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by three sisters: Reba Tanneruther, Leone Tannreuther and Lula Summy; and three brothers: Merl, Brandt and Floyd.

Services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Friendship Village Chapel, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. O'Keefe & Towne-Grarup & Waychoff Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
