MRS. J. G. WEILEIN DIED THIS MORNING

After two years' illness of dropsy and heart trouble Mrs. John G. Weilein, a resident of Waterloo for the past thirty-five years, passed away this morning at 3:40 at her home, 1827 Commercial Street. Mrs. Weilein had been seriously sick for the past two weeks so that her death was not unexpected. In the Evangelical Association church, of which she had been a member so long, and among all who had known her during the years of her residence here, she was loved and admired and all sympathize with the relatives who are left to mourn.

Mrs. Weilein's maiden name was Lydia Holdiman and she was born in Schuylkill County, Pa., August 18, 1841. When she was ten years of age she moved with her parents to Aurora, Ill., and there she was married in the fall of 1862 to John G. Weilein. In 1875 they came to Waterloo, where Mr. Weilein has been engaged In the business of contracting stone mason ever since.

Besides the bereaved husband, five daughters and four sons are left. These are: Mrs. Edward Reese, Mrs. Susie Rasmussen, Monett, Mo.; Mrs. Edward C. Bopp, Mrs. Anna Hollister. Miss Jennie Weilein, Will and George
Weilein, Waterloo; Jacob Weilein, Los Angeles. Cal., and John Weilein Kalamazoo, Mich. Two children died in infancy. There are also two brothers, David and Daniel Holdiman, both living at Dunkerton.

Though the funeral arrangements await the arrival of out-of-town relatives it is expected that the services will be held on Friday morning, conducted by Rev. J. H. Bauernfeind, pastor of the Evangelical Association Church.

The funeral of Mrs. John G. Weilein will be held on Friday afternoon. The services at the home, 1827 Commercial Street, will be at 1:30 and at the Evangelical Association Church in courthouse square at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. H. Bauernfeind will conduct the services and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
