Evelyn Bond was born March 20, 1929, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Albert land Esther (Kelly) Workman. She graduated for Cedar Falls High School in 1949. On February 6, 1949, she was united in marriage to Glenn D. Bond Jr. in Cedar Falls. He died April 2, 2004.

She was employed as office manager/assistant at the office of Dr. John Baker and later was office manager for Dr. Michael Weires. She was a member of the Haylofters Square Club for many years.

Survived by her daughter, Lisa Jo (Troy) Edeker of Cedar Falls; son, David (Carol) Bond of Springfield, Oregon; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Bertha) Workman of Mason City; and sister, Clara DeGroote of Parkersburg.

Evelyn died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three half-sisters, Thelma Randall, Faye Tritton, and Gertrude Mason.
