Services for Mrs. Helen F. McConnell, 79, of Ravenwood Health Care Center, will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Cedar Falls. There will be a 3 p.m. rosary by Catholic Daughters of America, and a 7 p.m. Scripture service, both Sunday at Oppold Funeral Home where friends may call after noon Sunday.

She died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the care center of complications of a stroke.

She was born Feb. 17, 1900, near Finchford, daughter of Frank and Lucy Hummel Schwab. She married Delbert McConnell Sept. 6, 1919, at New Hartford, and he died Jan. 24, 1978.

Survivors include two daughters. Mrs. Lucille Brown of 2227 W. Third St., and Mrs. Helen Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Wallace of 610 W. Fourth St., Cedar Falls.
