Services for Harold Hoeppner, 79, of 1623 Mulberry St., will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. He died Tuesday afternoon at Windsor Care Center in Cedar Falls.

He was born May 2, 1901, in Tama County, son of Herman and Mary Lorenz Hoeppner. He married Inez Strom Oct. 24, 1958, in Rapid City, S.D. He was a carpenter and farmed in the Tama County area for 21 years before moving to Waterloo in 1955.

Survivors include his wife: seven sons: Vemon of 4845 Weiden Road, Eldon of Waterloo, Robert of Reinbeck, James and Gerald, both of Salt Lake City, Utah, Harold L. of Arvada, Colo., and Richard of Briggsdale, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Lorna Neil of 2012 Tilbury Road; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ila
Wangsness, of Allison and Mrs. Ilene Bernhardt, of Dike; a stepson, Hans Halverson of Minneapolis; three sisters: Marion Hoeppner of Toledo, Mrs. Alice Reinhard of Gladbrook and Mrs. Lydia Fredricksen of Reinbeck; 41 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
