Mrs. Jesse L. Nation, 66, of Rt. 4, died at 5:30 p. m. Wednesday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of a liver condition. She had been ill for several months and a patient at the hospital for six days.

The former Myrtle Stella Powell was born Aug. 4, 1887, in Bartlett, O., the daughter of Reuben and Rachel Funk Powell. She made her home in Waterloo since 1903. On Dec. 28, 1910, she was married to Jesse L. Nation. Mrs. Nation was a member of Graves Evangelical United Brethren church.

She is survived by her husband; two sons. Virgil, 432 Duryea St., and Roscoe, Rt. 4: three daughters, Mrs. Marve] Lentz, Sumner, Mrs. Mildred Hinson, Reinbeck, and Mrs. Marjorie Warren. 1121 Brookside Ave., Evansdale; three brothers. Archie Powell, Dinuba. Cal.. Emelyn Powell, Traer, and Stanley, Dysart; four sisters, Mrs Grace Logan and Mrs. Walter Nation, both of Traer, Miss Flora Powell, Big Stone, S. D., and Mrs. Elizabeth Armstrong Sharpsburg, O., and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, brother and sister.

Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday afternoon at Graves EUB church. The body is at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel.
