WATERLOO - Erma K. Blong, 86, of Broomfield, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 27, 2007,at Broomfield Skilled Nursing Care from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Sept. 30, 1920, in St. Lucas, daughter of Victor and Theresa Mihm Perry. She married Edward T. Blong on Aug. 24, 1943, in St. Lucas. He died June 5, 1979.

Survivors include four daughters: Sue (Lee) Alcock of Fort Meyers, Fla., Becky (Bernie) Fettkether of Waterloo, Cyndi (Bob) Lahn of Westminster, Colo., and Terri (John) Rowe of Broomfield; four grandsons, Joe Fettkether, Matt Lahn, Ben Lahn and Patrick Rowe; a brother, Victor Perry of Fort Atkinson; and a sister, Edie Eckley of San Mateo, Calif.

Preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Rowe; and a sister, Leona Kruse.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church, St. Lucas, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. today at Hagarty-waychoff-Grurup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to the family.
