EVANSDALE - Vicky L. Lau Northey, 51, of Evansdale, died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn., following a long illness.

She was born May 13, 1957, in Waterloo, daughter of Lyle and Bernice Ratchford Lau. She married Jeffrey D. Northey in 1978, and they later divorced.

Ms. Northey graduated from Central High School in 1975 and was a homemaker.

Survived by a daughter, Misty (Brian) Thompson of Evansdale; a son, Matthew of Waterloo; soul mate, Les Jensen of Evansdale; a stepson, Ben Jensen of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Hillary (Clyde) Jensen of Evansdale; five grandchildren, Sawyer Thompson, JaNya Jensen, Alivia Jensen, Shyne Jensen and Cly'Sean Mohorne; two sisters, Linda (Ron) Dessinger of Las Vegas and Cindy (Dan) Gleason of Fremont, Neb.; a niece, Tiffany (Mike) Randall; two nephews, Steve Dessinger and Chad (Tosha) Gleason; and cats, Ellie and Eve.

Preceded in death by her parents; and dog, Dillon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
