WATERLOO — Jerry K. Potter, 66, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Dubuque Nursing & Rehab.

He was born June 2, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Hubert I. and Leola L. Forsyth Potter. He married Nancy Neild on June 10, 1978, in Waterloo, and they later divorced.

Mr. Potter was employed by Ron Dold and Sons Landscaping in Waterloo and the City of Waterloo Sewer Department, retiring in 1978 after becoming disabled, moving to Dubuque in 2003.

Survived by two sons, Matthew Potter of Waterloo and Craig (Angie) Neild of Marion; four grandchildren; two brothers, Daryl (Sharon) of Waterloo and Gary (Carolyn) of Arlington, Texas; and a sister, Janet (Bill) Russell of Dubuque.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Eric K. Potter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kearns Service Kimball Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before service Monday.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dubuque or First Congregational Church UCC, Dubuque.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Hospice of Dubuque, Summit Center Unitypoint-Finley Hospital and Hillcrest RCF.
