WATERLOO - William F. "Bill" Leibold Sr., 60, of Waterloo, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of cancer.

He was born Oct. 30, 1944, in Postville, son of Victor C. and Florence Emma Wickham Leibold. He married Linda Fleming on Feb. 14, 1967, in Waterloo.

Mr. Leibold was a graduate of West High School. He was employed as a machinist with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He also was a council member at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church and had served in the U.S Navy.

Survivors include his wife; a son, William Jr. (Starla) of Coralville; a daughter, Tami (Greg) Crisp of Marion; four grandchildren, William "Billy" and Megan Jacobsen, Markus Leibold and Henry William Crisp; a brother, Jack (Arnita) of Jesup; a sister, Judy Colvin of Waterloo; his mother-in-law, Sada Fleming of Waterloo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys Ann Leibold; and a brother-in-law, Don Colvin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Full graveside military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.r
